Oglesby ISD Bond Election
On Saturday, May 3, 2025, voters in Oglesby ISD will vote on the district’s $9,495,000 bond referendum.
Why is Oglesby ISD having a bond?
Working with the Board of Trustees, teachers, community members, and administrators from across the district, the facilities planning committee developed a list of items to consider for inclusion in a bond package. The committee evaluated current facilities and equipment, enrollment growth, and other district priorities.
-
Career and Technology Facility with classrooms, labs, and restrooms to support student learning and workforce readiness.
-
Construction of a combination baseball/softball & football practice field to accommodate extracurricular activities and community engagement.
-
A portion of the bond funds are proposed to be used to pay off a time warrant that is payable from operation funds and to reimburse operation funds used to purchase land. These items will increase the District's operation funds, which may be used for teacher salaries and similar operational expenses.
